Construction Base
A rigid, fabricated, box type construction, houses the driving mechanism consisting of motor, gearboxes, pulleys etc.
It has a provision for raising or lowering the table, surrounding the
lapping plate, so that the height of the guide rollers can be suitably
adjusted when the lapping plate thickness gets reduced. In the larger
models, proper provision is made for the operators to climb onto the
table, if need be.
A swarf collecting, tray surrounds the lapping plate, and has an
inclined bottom, to empty the swarf through a spout, into a bigger tank
situated at teh abse.
